Upcoming Technician/General Course at Seattle American Red Cross

The American Red Cross Communications Team will be holding a License
Exam Preparation Course for the Technician and General Class Amateur
Radio Licenses. The course is open to people without a license and
those seeking to upgrade to General.

Class Starts: 11/2/2010
Class Night: Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Special Optional Study Day: 12/5/2010
Class Ends: 12/7/2010 with a licensing exam
Location: Seattle chapter of the American Red Cross 1900 25th Avenue
South, Seattle, WA 98144

Space Limited to 20 Students

Course Fees: $10.00 for the course, $15.00 for licensing exam, and
students must obtain their own licensing manuals prior to the first

D-STAR WORKSHOP RETURNS TO FEDERAL WAY


Back by popular demand! Another D-STAR workshop is being presented in Federal Way on Saturday November 20th from 9am to 5pm at the City of Federal Way Community Center. Topics presented at the workshop include "Getting Started with D-STAR", "Gateways, Reflectors, & Ratflectors", Northwest D-STAR Repeaters, and various hands on labs. John Davis-WB4QDX will be the keynote speaker for the workshop. Coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the workshop in addition to lunch. Door prizes! Cost of this D-STAR Workshop is $35 per person, with discounts for folks signing up prior to October 25th and parties of five or more. Seats are limited to 100 attendees.
