Time to fire up the fldigi software again... Got it working yet Curt?
There's at least 8 hours until Stephen leaves so you have lots of
debugging time...
I'd imagine the rest of us will use the tried and tested
APRS-Messenger.. :-) I would like to try out the SCS software
AFSK 300 baud packet decoder that runs at the same time - but I'm not
going to lose any of my sleep tonight to get it going...

Subject: [aprssig] Another 30 Meters APRS Test Starting on Wed 22 Sept
To: TAPR APRS Mailing List <aprssig@tapr.org>
I am departing on another three-day road trip around California and
will be running the various flavors of 30 meters APRS again.
This trip will take me and my girl friend up the CA coast from Los
Angeles to the scenic Big Sur coast south of the Monterey area the
first day (Wed 22 Sept). We will overnight in the actual village of
Big Sur. Current plans are to depart L.A. around 6 AM local
(Pacific Daylight) -- 1300 UTC .
The next day (Thursday 23 Sept) we will cross CA west-to-east, from
the coast to Yosemite Nat Park in the central Sierra Nevadas. This
night we will stay inside the park in the Yosemite Valley.
The following day (Friday 24 Sept) will have us driving up to the
Yosemite high country on the Tioga Road, and crossing over the Sierras
and down the eastern slope to Lee Vining and Mono Lake, then down
US-395 back to Los Angeles.
There are many hundreds of miles with no VHF APRS coverage at all on
this itinerary, so it should be an interesting test for HF. On the
last trip, I used my large W6HIQ "Hi-Q" screwdriver antenna on 30M.
This time I will be using the considerably lower-profile Yaesu
ATAS-100 "mini-screwdriver" antenna.
As I did last time, calls will be:
WA8LMF (no SSID) 2M VHF
WA8LMF-2 30 meters classic AX.25 FSK
WA8LMF-63 30 meters PSK63 and GMSK250
